Mastering your marketing is typically the biggest challenge when it comes to marketing your business for profits. So just how do you master it and tame the beast that keeps changing every five seconds to a new medium? 
Try some of these tips.
1. Observe marketing campaigns in your environment. These campaigns will give you insight into the latest marketing trends and messages that are being communicated to the consumer. Currently we are seeing green businesses coming to the forefront. This trend will continue to occur for years to come. It is my personal opinion that in five years time, consumers will specifically want to deal with businesses that are planet friendly only. Give your business a head start and look at what small changes you can implement now to move with the trend.
2. Observe your customers behaviour. Your customers leave breadcrumbs for you to follow in regards to what they are looking for, when and how often. This information can be found via doing searches on keyword/phrase searches online. We have seen a major shift with large companies moving from the enitre blanket approach i.e. TV, to more target campaigns that find customers when they are in the right frame of mind to purchase, i.e. Google. If you can afford to, get an search engine optimisation expert to help craft your campaign. There are a lot of ins and outs that to the game. If you're going to play, do it properly from the word go and save yourself time and ultimately money.
3. Just ask! Contact some of your A class clients and ask them what is appealing and un-appealing about your marketing. What do they like and what do they loathe? This input is critical in shaping future messages. Whether it be via your online marketing campaigns, verbal communications or print media. Asking never hurt anyone, it just increased their profits!
Apply these three incredibly simple tips and you will be on your way to taming the beast they call marketing.
