There seems to be an epidemic among the self employed and that epidemic seems to be the common denominator that they are afraid to sell their own products and services. 
So why is there a fear of selling?
It typically occurs due to the lack of support and structure around the individual in question. When you look at larger organisations there is great support in the means of "external pressure" to make the sale hence the sales and phone calls get made.
Being self employed, unless you have a wife or husband that's constantly on your back to get on that phone, the sales pressure has to come from you internally. To keep this kind of momentum up when you work by yourself can be a major challenge and there needs to be a shift in your mindset and habits to improve overall productivity.
Here are some facts on selling that will assist you along in the process:
Become the business owner that really wants to assist your prospective customers. To do this you will create a range of questions that you can ask them to clearly identify there needs, what they want and how it will be delivered.
Just by asking questions and finding out about their objectives will begin the sales process automatically.
Then it's just up to you to ask for the sale!
